Most Brutalist blogs are all pictures, few words. This may be an exception, but not today. These towers overlook Southmere Lake in Thamesmead, London. The Thamesmead estates were key plot locations in Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange.

I chose this picture because to many it will illustrate perfectly what they associate with Brutalism in Britain: Deprivation, monochrome, and an ignorance of nature.
